			Travis Haughton has been a staff photojournalist at the Northwest Herald in suburban Chicago since Feb. 2008. Before working at the Herald, Travis earned degrees in Journalism and in Telecommunications from Michigan State University in 2007. He also completed internships at the Jackson Citizen Patriot in Jackson, Mich., The Kane County Chronicle in St. Charles, Ill., and The Aurora Beacon News in Aurora, Ill. His photos have appeared in major publications throughout the midwest, including the Chicago Sun-Times, The St. Louis Post Dispatch and the Detroit Free Press. In addition to being named College Photographer of the Year for 2005 by the Michigan Press Photographers Association, his work has also been recognized by the Associated Collegiate Press, the Illinois Press Photographers Association and the industry-leading website Sportsshooter.com. Travis also loves bringing his documentary approach to wedding photography.
